Health problems
Before undergoing a hair transplant operation, you should inform your hair transplant specialist about your health problems and the medications you use regularly. If you have a health problem, do not forget to consult your doctor about the operation and get approval for the hair transplant operation.
Medications
If you have received your doctor’s approval of your health problem, you should take a break from blood thinners such as aspirin, which you take regularly 3 days before the hair transplant operation.
One day before the operation
We recommend that you do not consume alcohol before the hair transplant. We use medications that will have a local anesthetic effect during the hair transplant operation. You should limit alcohol intake 1-2 days before, as there is a danger of interaction with these medications.
We recommend that you stop smoking for a while. Smokers have a slower blood flow to the scalp. In addition, the veins can become narrower and this can prevent the growth of the transplanted hair and its healthy development. For all these reasons, you should not smoke 1-2 days before the hair transplant and 7-10 days after the transplant.
Day of operation
What should you wear during the operation?
Wearing a button-down shirt or clothing with a wide collar on the day of surgery will make the operation more comfortable.
There should be no contact with the hair transplant area after the transplant. To avoid contact with the area, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothing that can be removed.
The hair transplant operation takes 5 to 6 hours on average. The duration of the operation varies according to the number of grafts to be transplanted.
We recommend that you choose an outfit that you feel comfortable in on the day of surgery.
Pre-operative preparation
You can start the morning of the day of the hair transplant operation with a light breakfast.
You should sleep the day of the operation and pay attention to your personal hygiene before the hair transplant. You should come to our center rested for the hair transplant.
During the FUE operation
Accompanying persons are not accepted during the hair transplant.
We welcome your companions in our waiting room and allow them to meet after the procedure. During the hair transplant, you should not chew gum, avoid talking too much and do not use your phone as much as possible.
